The purpose of the Black Girls Rock Gala is to award women who work behind the scenes selflessly without seeking the limelight for their efforts, while creating opportunities for others to shine and to aid in building a community that helps individuals overcome obstacles, and transform trauma into triumph in order for us to all rise and win.
